Filling in the Gaps ™:

Course Philosophy
Most sexual health training, if you got any, teaches you to hand off the problem. Refer to therapy. Suggest a lubricant. Change the antidepressant and hope.
This course teaches you to work the problem.
Because the women raising these concerns in your office aren't asking for a referral. They're asking you. They've already been told it's stress, or age, or "normal for menopause." Some have been told nothing at all, because no one asked.
Here's what conventional training never made clear: female arousal runs on the same vascular, neurologic, and hormonal machinery as male arousal. Same embryology. Same nitric oxide. Same early-warning relationship to cardiovascular disease. We treat erectile dysfunction in men as a five-alarm cardiac signal. In women, we don't even take the history.
The FiGs approach gives you a clinical reasoning system rooted in physiology: where the sexual response breaks down, what's driving it, and how to match treatment to mechanism instead of guessing.
So the next time a patient trusts you with this, you have more than a referral slip.
THE PROBLEM
You learned reproductive health. Nobody taught you sexual health.
Your patient finally works up the nerve to mention it, usually with her hand on the doorknob. Low desire. Pain. Orgasm that stopped happening somewhere along the way.
You have twenty minutes, no intake framework, and a formulary with exactly two FDA-approved options you've never prescribed.
So the visit ends the way these visits usually end: a sympathetic nod, maybe an SSRI review, and a problem that walks back out the door untreated.
The problem isn't your clinical skill. It's that sexual medicine was left out of your training almost entirely, and the physiology you did learn stopped at reproduction.
This course fixes that.
This Course Is Not For You If
You want a plug-and-play protocol you can copy without thinking
You're hoping one pill fixes desire, arousal, pain, and orgasm
You're not willing to take a real sexual history
This Course Is For You If...
Patients disclose sexual concerns and you feel the visit stall, because you have empathy but no framework
You've changed the SSRI, checked the labs, called it "normal," and watched nothing improve
You've reflexively referred out problems you suspect you could treat, if anyone had taught you how
You want to understand where the sexual response breaks down — desire, arousal, or orgasm — instead of treating them as one complaint
You're seeing midlife women with arousal complaints and want to know what that may be telling you about their cardiovascular health
You're ready to be the provider patients don't have to brace themselves to talk to
Whether you prescribe, refer, or support — this framework changes how you handle the concerns patients almost never say out loud.

WHAT MAKES THIS COURSE DIFFERENT
Case-Based by Design
Every module ends with a real clinical case. You don't just learn the content; you practice the reasoning, from first disclosure to final plan.
Physiology First
Female sexual function taught as the vascular, neurologic, and hormonal system it is, including the cardiovascular signals conventional training misses entirely.
Mechanism-Driven Treatment
Every intervention, behavioral and pharmacologic, organized by what it actually does: enhance excitation or reduce inhibition. Clinical reasoning, not protocol memorization.
Honest About the Evidence
Realistic effect sizes. What the FDA-approved agents actually deliver. Where the data is thin. No ideology masquerading as science.
Teaches the Conversation, Not Just the Medicine
Language scripts, normalizing openers, and counseling approaches for the topics clinicians avoid because nobody showed them how.
